The Court vacated the stay, paving the way for the CBI to go ahead with the probe. The Court also asked the central agency to complete the investigation in three months.
Shivakumar said he had faith in the courts and he would fight the case within the framework of law, no matter what the provocation for the (CBI) was.
He said he had appealed to the Court saying the CBI's FIR was defective, but the Yediyurappa regime ordered the probe for political reasons, he said.
Shivakumar referred to CBI's statement that it had completed 90% of investigation, wondering how the agency could do that without summoning him or hearing him out. "I respect the law of this country. I know that I have not done anything wrong. It is a political vendetta which the BJP tried using and the Govt gave permission."
