The Punjab and Haryana High Court has declined to stay the criminal defamation case against well-known YouTuber and Motivational Speaker Sandeep Maheshwari, initiated by Vivek Bindra. Sandeep Maheshwari has been directed by the HC to approach the Faridabad District Court.

Court said failure to comply with the court's directives may result in the issuance of a warrant by the Faridabad District Court.

In a recent development, Vivek Bindra has been granted permission to address the public following a court ruling. Previously, both Sandeep Maheshwari and Vivek Bindra were subject to restrictions on public speaking imposed by the court. Moreover, Vivek Bindra has expressed a willingness to reconcile with Sandeep Maheshwari.

Last month, the District Court of Faridabad issued a summons to Sandeep Maheshwari, following a criminal defamation case filed against him by the author Vivek Bindra. The court issued order in response to allegations made by Bindra, claiming that Maheshwari had disseminated defamatory content through certain videos and community posts on his YouTube channel, targeting Bindra.

The court had instructed Sandeep Maheshwari to appear on April 2. Bindra has alleged that the content shared by Maheshwari on his YouTube channel allegedly tarnished his reputation. In its March 5 directive, the court said that the materials circulated by Sandeep Maheshwari on YouTube have adversely affected Vivek Bindra's public image.

The genesis of this legal clash can be traced back to a video released by Maheshwari on December 11, 2023, triggering a series of exchanges in the form of posts and videos between the two. Subsequently, in December 2023, Bindra filed a case in Faridabad.
