All tourists, locals and visitors have been urged to come forward with any additional photographs, videos, or information connected to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday.

This comes amid military strikes by India on nine terror sites in Pakistan in wee hours of Wednesday, as part of the subcontinent's 'right to respond' to the terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of 26 tourists and injured several others.

The agency, which is leading the investigation, is examining several visuals already collected and is seeking further help to identify possible clues about the attackers and their methods.

According to officials, as quoted by news agency PTI, the NIA believes that even small details captured unintentionally by tourists or bystanders could prove vital to the investigation. These may include visuals or sounds recorded around the time of the attack at Baisaran.

"It has now decided to scale up its efforts even more intensely to ensure that no useful information or evidence is missed out in its investigation into the horrendous crime against humanity," the NIA said in a statement.

The agency has requested anyone with relevant details to contact it through the numbers 96-54-958-816 or 011-24368800. A senior NIA official will connect with the caller to coordinate the sharing of photos, videos or other information, the statement added.

Several videos and photographs have already surfaced on social media since the deadly terror strike. NIA teams have been stationed in Pahalgam, examining the site and questioning witnesses as part of the ongoing investigation.
