The Haryana government has announced a revision in wages for part-time and daily-wage workers engaged across government departments, boards, corporations, and public sector undertakings in the state.

The new wage structure will take effect from January 1, 2026, according to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi. The move follows multiple representations from departments and organisations seeking higher remuneration for contractual and daily-wage employees.

The state has been divided into three district categories based on socio-economic and developmental factors, with separate wage rates prescribed for each level of worker within these categories.

In Category-I districts, Level 1 workers will now earn Rs 19,900 per month (Rs 765 per day, Rs 96 per hour), while Level 2 and Level 3 workers will receive Rs 23,400 and Rs 24,100 monthly, respectively.

In Category-II districts, wages will range from Rs 17,550 per month for Level 1 to Rs 21,700 for Level 3.

In Category-III districts, the monthly pay will start at Rs 16,250 for Level 1 and go up to Rs 20,450 for Level 3.

The revised wage structure aims to bring parity and fairness in compensation across districts, taking into account varying cost-of-living and developmental conditions.
