Gym trainer mercilessly beats woman in West Bengal's Ranaghat, arrested after video goes viral

In a shocking incident in a gym located in Ranaghat, West Bengal, a trainer was captured on video physically assaulting a female member. The distressing footage, circulated on the social media platform X, shows the trainer's aggressive behavior towards the woman during her workout session.

The video shows the trainer approaching the woman while she was engaged in exercise, and proceeding to violently attack her. He forcibly pulled her to the ground and subjected her to a brutal assault, delivering kicks and punches to her face and stomach as she cried out for assistance.

The incident, which has gone viral, has incited widespread condemnation among users of X. Prompt action was taken by the Ranaghat District Police in response to the video, swiftly apprehending the individual responsible for the assault. Reassurance was provided to the community by authorities that the victim remained unharmed and was being safeguarded.


In a statement posted on X, the Ranaghat District Police declared, "The perpetrator in this video has been identified and arrested by Ranaghat District Police. A case has been initiated against him. The victim lady was also contacted, and at present, she is safe and secure."

The incident has raised concerns regarding the safety and security of individuals, particularly women, in gym environments. Authorities continue to investigate the matter to ensure justice is served and to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
