LUCKNOW: Varanasi district judge Ajaya Krishna Vishvesha, who gave the order in the Shringar Gauri-Gyanvapi mosque lawsuit, hails from Haridwar in Uttarakhand.
Vishvesha, 58, was Bulandshahr district judge before being transferred to Varanasi on the same post in August 2021.
He completed BSc and later graduated in law in 1984. Vishvesha started his judicial career from the Kotdwar court in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand as munsif in 1990 and served in various courts of Uttarakhand region before it became a separate state. He was also posted to the Allahabad high court as special officer (vigilance) in 2020 on deputation.
Judge Vishvesha was also the district judge in Sambhal, Budaun and Sitapur districts.
An avid learner, Vishvesha has participated in 16 training sessions and modules during the service to keep himself abreast with latest developments in the legal field. Some of these training sessions were focused on management development programmes and leadership skills.
