Gujarat's Kutch district hit by 4.1 magnitude earthquake

This is the second earthquake in the region in August, with a 4.0 magnitude quake recorded in the first week of the month.

Gujarat's Kutch district saw a 4.1 magnitude earthquake on Saturday; no damage to property has been reported so far, with the quake being one of moderate-intensity.

"A 4.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 12.08 pm on Saturday with its epicentre 23 km East-Southeast (ESE) of Dholavira in Kutch. It was recorded at a depth of 6.1 km," the Institute of Seismological Research said.

This is the second earthquake in the region in August, with a 4.0 magnitude quake recorded in the first week of the month.
