Gujarat woos investors ahead of Vibrant Summit 2027 with promise of speedy approvals, strong infrastructure

Patel, who became chief minister in September 2021, urged industry leaders to contribute towards strengthening innovation, creating employment for the youth and driving development in the state. He had one-on-one interactions with around 18 groups of industrialists. Government sources said the industry leaders expressed satisfaction at the swift approval to projects in the state and the robust infrastructure that has facilitated business in Gujarat. Investor-friendly ecosystem, transparency, skilled manpower, trust and security are the other selling points of the state.
The chief minister also had an interaction with diplomats and representatives of various countries on foreign investment in the state. The state is showcasing its GIFT (Gujarat International Finance Tech-city) and GCC (Global Capability Centre) which aims at making Gujarat a global hub for R&D facilities and boasts a positive response from foreign investors.
“The Free Trade Agreements signed by India with various countries, especially UK and the European nations, will help Gujarat substantially,” Patel told ET, adding that political stability and continuity in the state is a big positive for investors.
Among the focus areas for the state at the Vibrant Gujarat summit early next year would be investment and growth in the MSME sector as well as semiconductors, AI and data centres. A presentation on prospects in the semiconductor sector was made by the state government at the interaction with industry leaders.
The theme of VGGS-27 is Viksit Gujarat- Shaping Global Future with emphasis on emerging sectors such as soft power, semiconductors, fintech, green hydrogen and AI, along with green growth.
In his address to the industry leaders, Harsh Sanghvi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, stated that they will get assured returns on their investments. “Vision without execution is just a speech, and execution without vision is just a rush of activity. Gujarat has set an example for the nation by combining a clear vision with swift and effective execution,” he said.
