Gujarat reports 17 new coronavirus cases

As many as 4.12 crore doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered in the state till now, including over 5.92 lakh on Tuesday.
Gujarat reported 17 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of infections in the state to 8,25,213, the health department said on Tuesday evening. With 22 patients given discharge from hospitals, the tally of recoveries went up to 8,14,956 at a recovery rate of 98.76 per cent, the official release said.

No new coronavirus infection was found in the adjoining Union Territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu since Monday evening, the local authorities said, adding that one patient recovered during the day. Of 10,629 persons who tested positive for the virus since the outbreak in the UT, four died, 10,621 recovered while four cases are still active. Gujarat's COVID-19 figures are as follows: Total cases 8,25,213, New cases 17, Death toll 10,078, Discharged 8,14,956, Active cases 179 and people tested so far - figures not released.
