In his video message for Uttarakhand's 24th foundation day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that today is November 9, and the number 9 is considered auspicious since it represents power. So, today, he wants to make 5 requests to the people of Uttarakhand and 4 requests to visitors arriving here, for a total of 9.

PM Modi urged residents to safeguard their languages, plant a sapling in the honour of mother, ensure clean water, connect with villages, and adorn their homes with Tibari. He has made five recommendations to travellers visiting Uttarakhand: minimise single-use plastic, "vocalise for locals," follow traffic laws, and respect pilgrimage traditions.

PM Modi stated that all of your dialects, including Garhwali, Kumauni, and Jaunsari, are incredibly rich, and their preservation is crucial. Therefore, Uttarakhand residents must pass down their dialect to future generations; this is also crucial for the state's identity.

Speaking on the occassion in Dehradun, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the day is not far when the problem of migration will be eradicated from the state through the creation of employment opportunities.
