Gowda couple test positive for Covid, PM Modi offers treatment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday rang up JD(S) national president HD Deve Gowda and offered to arrange for treatment at any hospital of his choice in any city for Covid-19.

The former prime minister and his wife Chennamma have been tested positive for the infection, and have isolated themselves along with other family members.

Gowda, in a tweet, thanked Modi for calling him up and enquiring about his health. He said he was deeply moved by the PM's offer, and conveyed to the PM that he was being looked after well in Bengaluru.




The 87-year old leader has also urged all those persons who came in contact with them in the last few days to get themselves tested.
