Govt working relentlessly to uplift those struggling: PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that the government is making continuous efforts to bring forward those sections of society that have been left behind, pointing to the newly established Ministry of Cooperation, which he termed as an essential step in reaping the benefits of cooperation among farmers and the youth.

Modi was speaking at the virtual dedication ceremony of the Sardar Bhavan in Ahmedabad.

In Gujarat, the school dropout rate has decreased to less than 1% and hundreds of thousands of youth have been provided a new future through various government schemes, he said, adding that talented youngsters have a new ecosystem through a campaign like Startup India.


“A century ago, it was on September 11, 1893 when the World Parliament of Religions was held in Chicago and Swami Vivekananda stood on that global stage and introduced the world to the humane values of India,” Modi recollected, adding that “the world is realizing that tragedies like 9/11 will have a permanent solution only through these humanitarian values.”
