Govt to constitute high-powered panel to review banking sector: Nirmala Sitharaman
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that the government will soon set up a high-powered committee to examine banking sector reforms and help shape India’s banking framework for Viksit Bharat 2047. Speaking at the PSB Conclave 2026, she highlighted record-low NPAs and called for fresh recommendations from banking leaders.
