Govinda gets accidentally shot, rushed to hospital

Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was rushed to a nearby hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the leg with his own revolver on Tuesday morning.

This information was confirmed by a senior official from the Mumbai Police, as reported by ANI.

According to reports, the incident occurred while the actor was getting ready to depart for Kolkata early this morning.


"We had a 6 am flight to catch for a show in Kolkata, and I had already arrived at the airport. Govinda ji was about to leave his home for the airport when this accident took place," said the actor's manager, Shashi Sinha told TOI.

"He was putting his licensed revolver in its case when it slipped from his hand, accidentally firing a bullet that struck his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet, and he is doing well. He is currently in the hospital," he added.
