Goods train derails near Delhi's Sarai Rohilla railway station; rescue operation underway
A goods train derailed near Delhi's Sarai Rohilla railway station on Saturday, officials said. The incident occurred on the Patel Nagar-Dayabasti section, near the Zakhira flyover in north Delhi, around 11:50 am.

Rescue Operation Underway

According to the Railway Police, ten bogies of the train derailed in the incident. There is a possibility of a casualty on the track, which has not been ruled out yet. Teams of railway police and fire brigade have arrived at the spot for the rescue operation.


"Iron sheet rolls were loaded in the goods train. Possible casualty of a person on the track not ruled out," said an official. The train was carrying iron sheet rolls from Mumbai to Chandigarh.

Railway and fire officials are currently carrying out the rescue operation. More details about the incident are awaited.
