Goldy Brar, the man behind Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder

Goldy Brar, a gangster who is currently believed to be in Canada, has claimed responsibility for the murder of Punjabi artist and Congress politician Sidhu Moose Wala in a Facebook post on Sunday evening. Goldy Brar is a close ally of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi, who is also suspected of murdering the singer.

According to a report by India Today, Punjab Police has compiled a dossier on Goldy Brar on Monday. The dossier indicates that Goldy Brar's full name is Satwinderjit Singh. Satwinderjit Singh, alias Goldy Brar, is a BA graduate who was born in 1994. He is currently living in Canada and is operating from there through a module in Punjab.

Goldy Brar has been charged with murder, attempted murder, extortion and multiple criminal proceedings implicate him. A Faridpur court issued an open-ended non-bailable arrest warrant for Brar earlier this month in connection with the killing of Gurlal Singh Pehalwan, the district Youth Congress president.


Moose Wala did not take his bulletproof car and gunman on Sunday, according to Mansa SSP Gaurav Toora. “FIR is being registered. We will take immediate action against the gangster and persons involved," he added.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moose Wala, was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Sunday evening in Jawaharke village, Mansa district. The incident happened two days after Punjab Police dropped security for 424 people, including Sidhu Moose Wala.

Sidhu Moose Wala, a Congress candidate from Mansa, was defeated by AAP contender Vijay Singla in this year's Punjab assembly election. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently fired Vijay Singla amid allegations of corruption.
