New Delhi: Policymakers, diplomats and industry leaders from several countries will gather here for the India Space Congress (ISC) 2026 from June 15 to June 17 to deliberate on the future of India's space sector.

The three-day event, organised by the Satcom Industry Association (SIA)-India, will host over 600 participants, including 200 speakers and moderators, from over 25 countries.

Representatives from government agencies, international organisations, private industry, research institutions, and strategic stakeholders are expected to take part in the event.

The congress comes at a time when the global space economy is moving towards the trillion-dollar mark and India has set a target of building a USD 44-billion space economy by 2033.

"To achieve India's ambition of becoming a $44 billion space economy requires predictable regulation, stronger demand signals, risk-sharing mechanisms, deeper industry-academia collaboration and access to long-term growth capital," SIA India President Dr Subba Rao Pavuluri, said in a statement.

"The discussions at ISC 2026 are therefore not only about technology and policy; they are about building the foundations of a globally competitive space economy capable of attracting investment, creating markets and delivering long-term economic value," he added.

Key areas of discussion will include satellite communications, direct-to-device connectivity, Earth observation, geospatial intelligence, launch systems, in-orbit servicing, navigation, defence space, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, space sustainability, manufacturing, investment, policy, and international cooperation.
