The prime minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a slew of projects worth over Rs 17,000 Crore in Rajasthan. These include highway projects worth Rs 5,000 Cr, Katliputra railway infrastructure works worth Rs 2300 Cr, laying foundation stone of solar projects worth Rs 5300 Cr, as well as Jal Jeevan and power transmission projects.
He also addressed a rally at Rewari in Haryana where he laid the foundation stone of AIIMS and Gurugram Metro rail, assuring that he will inaugurate them when the projects are completed.
"In this year's Union Budget, a record Rs 11 lakh crore have been allocated for infrastructure development which is six times more than by any previous government," Modi said, adding that this capital expenditure allocation will especially benefit the cement, stones and ceramics industries.
The Prime Minister reiterated his government's focus on welfare of youth, women, farmers and the poor. "These four are the only castes for us and I am happy that the double-engine government is fulfilling the guarantees given by Modi for the empowerment of these sections,'' he said.
"We are fulfilling our promises one by one in every field. We are serious about our guarantees. That's why people say- Modi's guarantee means guarantee of fulfilment," Modi said, adding that it is being talked about in India and abroad.
He also emphasised that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to cover every intended beneficiary and ensure they get what they are entitled to.
The Prime Minister pointed towards the forces that promote an atmosphere of despair and refrain from celebrating the successes of the country. He also cautioned against dynasty politics, saying such politics does not inspire the youth.
At Rewari, the PM said his government had implemented OROP.
