Delhi Police has been investigating Pandit’s suspected role in several cases in the national capital, including a firing incident outside a gym associated with Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa, a police source said.
A native of Haryana’s Panipat district, Pandit is suspected of running a network from the United States and coordinating with shooters in India, the source added.

Kota police have arrested three alleged shooters — two from Haryana and one from Bihar — in connection with the firing incident involving Shroff. The Special Cell of Delhi Police is also gathering information about shooters active in Delhi-NCR and examining their suspected links to the gang.
Around 10 police teams have been deployed to investigate different aspects of the case, the source said.
Investigators are examining a social media post in which Pandit allegedly claimed responsibility for the incident and issued a threat linked to the Bollywood industry. Police are also probing his suspected connections with firing and extortion cases reported in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
Pandit’s name had earlier surfaced during an investigation into a firing incident outside a gym associated with singer Guru Randhawa in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar, the source said.
The alleged criminal network is suspected of using messaging applications to communicate with shooters operating across states, including Delhi. Investigators are trying to establish the roles of those involved, trace the source of the weapons and determine whether the shooters received financial support.
Police may also question suspected associates lodged in Tihar and Mandoli jails as part of the investigation. They are also checking whether the accused had planned further attacks in Delhi.
A purported audio clip featuring Pandit, 32, circulated widely across media platforms. In the clip, he allegedly claims that Shroff was targeted for ignoring warnings against working with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
Pandit can allegedly be heard demanding that Khan apologise to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the Bishnoi community. Khan was allegedly involved in the shooting of a blackbuck in 1998, an animal considered sacred by the community.
In the purported clip, Pandit threatens that other members of the film industry close to Khan could also be targeted if the actor does not apologise.
