Gandhinagar building collapse: Several workers feared trapped after slab collapses in Kudasan

A portion of an under-construction building collapsed in the Kudasan area of Gandhinagar, Gujarat, with several workers feared trapped under the debris, as per reports. Fire department teams are currently carrying out rescue operations at the site, Rajesh Patel, Fire Officer, Gandhinagar, said.


The incident comes just days after a five-storey building housing a paying guest accommodation collapsed in Delhi’s Satya Niketan, killing seven people and raising fresh concerns over building safety and construction standards.


Rescue operations are still underway in Gandhinagar, while further details are awaited.
