G20: A look at the agenda, developments, proposals and more

The G20 Summit will take place under India's presidency in New Delhi from September 9 to 10. As the country gears up for the event, here is the overall agenda of the Summit:

- Accelerated, Inclusive & Resilient Growth

- Accelerating Progress on Sustainable Development Goals

- Technological Transformation & Digital Public Infrastructure

- Multilateral Institutions for the 21st Century

- Women-led Development

The suggestions for the Sherpa track include a reform in the World Trade Organisation, integration of MSMEs, resilient GVCs via G20 Generic Framework for Mapping GVCs. It also includes G20 high-level principles to support businesses in building safety, security, resilience, and trust in the digital.

- Debt vulnerabilities in low- and middle-income economies

- Advancing financial inclusion and productivity gains through digital public infrastructure

- Roadmap on crypto assets

- Reform of multilateral banks

- Financing cities of tomorrow to make cities inclusive, resilient, and sustainable

- Addressing issues around climate finance

The new introductions include a Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group; Startup 20 Engagement Group; Launch of Global Sovereign Debt Roundtable. Among the other proposals, making Africa Union a permanent G20 member is included, while the G20 countries will also discuss on a global biofuel alliance.
