He also introduced US envoy Gor to Bengaluru's Namma Auto, calling it a "memorable ride indeed." Surya met him at Filter Coffee, Indiranagar where both had some masala dosa & strong coffee. The BJP leader highlighted that Bengaluru plays a vital role in strengthening economic and people-to-people ties between the two democracies.

"Delighted to welcome H.E. Sergio Gor, U.S. Ambassador to India, to Bengaluru today," Surya said in a post on X. "Over some masala dosa & strong coffee at Filter Coffee, Indiranagar, we had an engaging conversation on the growing India-US partnership, especially in trade, technology and innovation following the interim trade agreement."
On Bengaluru being central to India-US economic ties, Surya said that the city houses over 700 American companies and 43% of India’s software exports come from India's Silicon Valley.
"Home to 40% of India’s GCCs, Bengaluru continues to drive innovation-led partnership between our two democracies," he wrote.
Initially on Monday, Surya held a review meeting with senior officials of GAIL (India) Limited regarding the progress of City Gas Distribution works in Jayanagar and Basavanagudi. He officials to ensure seamless execution and close inter-agency coordination to deliver the much-needed utility to citizens at the earliest.
