From Agriculture Minister to farmers, praise pours in for PM Modi’s FAO Agricola Medal

Food and Agriculture Organization conferred the prestigious Agricola Medal on Narendra Modi in Rome, recognising India’s contributions to agriculture, food security and sustainable development. Accepting the honour, PM Modi dedicated the award to India’s farmers, livestock rearers, fish workers and agricultural scientists, calling it a tribute to the country’s “annadata”. Economists, agriculture experts and political leaders described the award as global recognition of India’s agricultural reforms, rural development efforts and progress in ensuring food security.
