Macron’s February 17–19 trip is centred on the India-AI Impact Summit, scheduled from February 16 to 20, and is intended to build on the outcomes of last year’s Artificial Intelligence summit in Paris, which he co-hosted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ministry of External Affairs said the visit will see the two leaders review progress in bilateral cooperation across sectors identified under the Horizon 2047 Roadmap, while also discussing regional and global issues of mutual interest, including collaboration in the Indo-Pacific.
“Let’s finally look at what we have managed to achieve together, the successes of French diplomacy last year — the Artificial Intelligence summit. The whole world came to Paris. We made progress on this and we co-chaired it with Prime Minister Modi and next month, I’ll be in India to follow up,” Macron had said earlier.
During the visit, the two leaders will jointly inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation in Mumbai, a programme to be celebrated across both countries throughout 2026.
The summit is expected to showcase emerging technological advances, strengthen international partnerships and outline next steps for AI-driven growth, signalling France’s intent to deepen cooperation with India in technology, innovation and strategic affairs while translating last year’s Paris momentum into concrete outcomes.
