Freed Sonam Wangchuk calls for dialogue after NSA detention

Ladakh climate activist Sonam Wangchuk spoke after his release in Delhi, saying the aim of his movement was never a personal victory but a “win-win” for Ladakh, the Himalayas and the country. Wangchuk had been detained under the National Security Act amid protests seeking statehood and Sixth Schedule safeguards. He welcomed the government’s offer of meaningful dialogue.
