Four people killed in landslides in two different places in Meghalaya's Garo Hills

One incident took place in Gambegre block area of West Garo Hills where three of a family were killed in a landslide. Two members survived and were taken to a hospital.

Four people were killed in landslides in two different places in Meghalaya's Garo Hills on Thursday.

One incident took place in Gambegre block area of West Garo Hills where three of a family were killed in a landslide. Two members survived and were taken to a hospital.

The other incident took place in the Betasing region of South West Garo Hills where a child was killed. The landslides were triggered following incessant rainfall.


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded an orange alert for heavy rains in Assam till 12 June.
