Police said that two key accused pushed Gajambikal Ajay Teja, 24, into a pool and tried to frame it as accidental drowning. They knew Teja could not swim.
Preliminary probe has revealed that accused Ranjith Reddy and Sai Kumar had professional differences with Teja. Srikanth, manager of the IT firm was also arrested for illegally serving liquor at the party.
According to the excise rules, it is mandatory for organisers to seek the department's permission if they serve more than six bottles of alcohol at a private place, but this group of 25 did not have one.
The fourth person arrested is Venkatesh, the owner of the farmhousefarmhouse owner, for failing to implement safety measures around the pool.
The accused have confessed to the crime during questioning. "They had differences at the office over trivial issues and used the party to kill Teja," police told TOI.
"All four accused have been sent to 14-day judicial remand," said S Saidulu, station house officer (S-HO), Ghatkesar.
