Fortis takes forensic audit battle to Supreme Court
Fortis Healthcare on Wednesday moved the Supreme Court challenging the Delhi High Court judgment directing a forensic audit of transactions involving the hospital chain, Malaysia’s IHH Healthcare Berhad and RHT Health Trust.

In a stock exchange filing, Fortis said it filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the Supreme Court on September 16 against the Delhi High Court’s August 31 judgment.

The challenge relates to the Delhi High Court proceedings in the case titled “Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited vs. Malvinder Mohan Singh And Ors.” and specifically to three applications covered by the court's order.

The Delhi High Court judgment had directed a forensic audit of transactions among Fortis Healthcare, IHH Healthcare and RHT Health Trust. Malaysia-based IHH holds a controlling stake in Fortis, while RHT Health Trust was floated by Fortis' former promoters Malvinder Singh and Shivinder Singh.

Meanwhile, Axis Bank is also likely to move the Supreme Court later on Wednesday challenging the Delhi High Court judgment.
