Former PM of India Chaudhary Charan Singh conferred with Bharat Ratna Award, posthumously
President Droupadi Murmu conferred the prestigious Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour, on Saturday, at a ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh honoured posthumously. Jayant Chaudhary, Singh's grandson and Chief of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), received the honour from the President of India.
