Lyngdoh collapsed during an election meeting and was rushed to hospital.
Former Meghalaya Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh passed away on Monday following a heart attack.

Lyngdoh was a United Democratic Party (UDP) candidate from Sohiong assembly in East Khasi hills.

He collapsed during an election meeting and was rushed to hospital. Lyngdoh in 2018 lost the polls. He was Congress candidate.


The 60 seats of Meghalaya will go to single phase polls on February 27.

Shri Lyngdoh served the state in different capacities over the years & was a dedicated leader to the people. His demise is a great loss to Meghalaya. May his soul rest in peace”.
