New Delhi: Former bureaucrat Tarun Kapoor was on Thursday given one year extension as advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Kapoor, a 1987-batch retired IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, was appointed to the post in June 2024.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension in Kapoor's tenure as advisor to the prime minister for a further period of one-year with effect from June 10, 2026, a personnel ministry order said.
