FM Sitharaman to attend World Bank and IMF meets in US

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will attend the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank during an official visit to the United States that begins Monday (April 18).

Sitharaman will also attend the G20 finance ministers' and central bank governors' meeting there.

The 2022 spring meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group will take place from Monday through Sunday.


She will also meet World Bank president David Malpass.

"The finance minister will take part in bilateral meetings with several countries, including Indonesia, South Korea, Sri Lanka and South Africa," the finance ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

The finance minister will also hold one-on-one meetings with chief executives from the semiconductor, energy and other priority sectors.
