Rohit Shetty’s residence sees firing incident, security stepped up

Unidentified persons fired multiple rounds outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in the Juhu area of western Mumbai early Sunday, PTI reported citing officials. No injuries were reported. Police and crime branch teams rushed to the spot and tightened security around the building.

The incident took place in the early hours of the day. Officers said the attackers opened fire at the building and then fled. It was not immediately clear whether Shetty was at home at the time.

“Someone fired on the building. Zonal police and crime branch teams are investigating,” PTI quoted an official as saying.


Initial information suggests that four rounds were fired at the structure. There were no reports of anyone being hurt.

Juhu Police and crime branch teams have launched a probe.
