The fire call was received at 11:30 am, and 12 fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. The firefighting operation is currently underway, as per the official.
On May 28, a similar incident occurred at a private eye hospital in west Delhi's Paschim Vihar area. Officials reported that no injuries were sustained as people were safely evacuated from the building.
The fire at Eye Mantra Hospital broke out on the second floor, as confirmed by a Delhi Fire Services official.
This incident follows closely after a tragic fire in East Delhi where eight newborns lost their lives on May 25.
According to police sources, Baby Care New Born Child Hospital violated Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines concerning the storage of oxygen cylinders.
