Wildlife
According to officials, about 80% of the Kaziranga National Park and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary were underwater. The two parks are along the Brahmaputra and also home to the rare one-horned rhinoceroses. "All the wild animals are taking shelter on higher lands in the sanctuary," Pobitora ranger Nayanjyoti Das told AFP.
