FBI announces Rs 2.1 crore reward for info about this Gujarati Patel Bhai, one of most-wanted fugitives in US

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a reward of up to $250,000 ( Rs 2,09,02,825) for any information leading to the arrest of Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, who is currently on the FBI's ten most wanted list.

The FBI's announcement states, "The FBI offers a reward of up to $250,000 for info leading to the arrest of Ten Most Wanted Fugitive Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, wanted for allegedly killing his wife while they were working at a donut shop in Hanover, Maryland, on April 12, 2015."



Patel stands accused of murdering his wife while they were both employed at a donut shop in Hanover, Maryland, on April 12, 2015. He has been under the FBI's scrutiny since 2017.

Reports indicate that Patel, then 24 years old, allegedly assaulted his 21-year-old wife using a kitchen knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds within the shop's backroom in the presence of customers.

The unfortunate incident occurred while Patel and his wife, Palak, were working the night shift at a Dunkin’ Donuts store. CCTV footage captured during the event depicted the couple heading towards the kitchen area before vanishing behind the racks.

Patel is facing severe charges, including first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. An arrest warrant was issued by the US District Court in Baltimore on April 20, 2015, following Patel's indictment for fleeing to evade prosecution.

The FBI's appeal for information underscores the agency's ongoing efforts to bring Patel to justice, seeking collaboration from the public in apprehending this fugitive.
