The Noida Police has issued a warning about potential traffic disruptions in Greater Noida on Wednesday. The Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tikait) has organized a protest march, which could impact commuters. In order to ensure smooth traffic movement, the police may implement diversions at various locations including Galgotia Cut, Pari Chowk, LG Roundabout, Moser Bear Roundabout, Durga Talkies Roundabout, and Surajpur Chowk.

The police have emphasized that emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass safely during the diversions. Commuters are advised to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. In case of any traffic issues, they can contact the traffic helpline number 9971009001.

Farmers Protest route in Noida

The farmers plan to gather at the Knowledge Park metro station using tractors and private vehicles. They will then proceed with a march passing through India Expo Mart, Sharda University, LG roundabout, and Moser Bear roundabout, culminating at the collectorate in Surajpur, according to the police.

The national spokesperson for BKU, Rakesh Tikait, recently announced that farmers would protest outside collectorate offices in every district of the state. He made this announcement during a farmers' gathering in Sisauli, Muzaffarnagar. Tikait also mentioned upcoming programs on February 26 and 27 in support of the issues raised by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political). He stated that tractors would move towards Delhi from all directions until the Ghazipur border, but not enter the city. Instead, they would park their tractors on the highways at the border. Tikait urged farmers to prepare for 'aandolan' to protect their lands.

Police forces in Delhi, Noida and Haryana have intensified security measures at the Tikri, Singhu, and Ghazipur border points, conducting mock drills and instructing security personnel to maintain high vigilance. This proactive approach comes ahead of the scheduled march towards the national capital by protesting farmers.

The action follows farmers' rejection of the Centre's proposal, as they have vowed to continue their 'Delhi Chalo' agitation on Wednesday. During the recent round of talks on Sunday, Union ministers presented a five-year plan for government agencies to procure pulses, maize, and cotton at the minimum support price (MSP). However, farmer leaders dismissed the proposal, arguing that it did not serve the best interests of the farming community.
