Ex-Intel head Nivruti Rai is Invest India CEO

Former Intel India country head Nivruti Rai has joined as the managing director and CEO of Invest India on July 12, the government said Wednesday. Rai joins Invest India after 29 years at Intel. She led Intel India as country head for seven years, the commerce and industry ministry said in a statement.

Her appointment comes at a time when the mandate of Invest India, the country's investment promotion and facilitation body under Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, was recently expanded to include trade promotion along with its existing area of work-promotion of foreign direct investment.
