CJP's Abhijeet Dipke issues open letter to all education ministers

Abhijeet Dipke, Founder and Convenor of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has addressed an open letter to the Education Ministers of all Indian states, highlighting the deteriorating state of public education infrastructure across the country. Writing on behalf of the organization, which tags itself as the "Voice of the Lazy & Unemployed, "Dipke expressed anguish over the conditions students endure in government institutions.

Key demands & information sought


Emphasizing that access to basic education is not a political issue but a fundamental right for every child, Dipke urged governments to treat the rehabilitation of public schools as an urgent priority. To establish transparency, the CJP letter formally called upon the respective Education Ministries to publicly disclose key data:

• School Infrastructure & Renovations: Data on how many government schools have been renovated in the past five years, alongside the total count of schools currently requiring immediate repairs or complete overhauls.
• Teacher Vacancies: The total number of sanctioned teaching posts, currently filled positions, and existing vacancies across schools.
• Financial Accountability: A breakdown of funds allocated for government schools over the last five years compared against the actual expenditure spent on the ground.
• Access & Demand: The number of additional government schools needed to ensure reasonable, universal access to quality education.
• Non-Teaching Duties: A clear account of the non-educational responsibilities assigned to government school teachers that divert them from classroom instruction.
• Basic Facilities: Data on the precise number of public schools equipped with functional toilets, clean drinking water, digital/computer learning facilities, and proper sports equipment.

"Treated worse than animals"

In his appeal, Dipke noted that nearly eight decades after Independence, children in numerous government schools across India still lack functional washrooms, safe drinking water, proper classrooms, or basic sitting benches. He condemned visual evidence circulating on social media showing students forced to learn under unsafe conditions, stating that children are being treated "worse than animals" due to administrative neglect.

Concluding the letter, the CJP leader urged all state education authorities to act on a war footing, maintaining that every child, regardless of socio-economic background, deserves a dignified learning environment.

This comes amidst the "School Thik Karo" campaign, launched by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) convenor Abhijeet Dipke on Independence Day (August 15, 2026) from his native village of Santuk Pimpri in the Hingoli district of Maharashtra. Designed as a nationwide civic effort, the campaign mobilizes parents, local citizens, and sarpanches to conduct social audits of local government schools to demand accountability, inspect infrastructure gaps, and drive community-led efforts to repair and upgrade these institutions.
