'Establish a foolproof system': What happened at the NDA Parliamentary Party 'Mangal Milan' meeting?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi told NDA MPs that the government acted “immediately” after reports of irregularities in the NEET exam, with 13 accused arrested, a re-examination conducted and stricter safeguards being put in place to prevent future paper leaks, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said after the NDA Parliamentary Party’s ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting. Rijiju said the PM also urged allies to work together to pass legislation during the Monsoon Session while appealing to the Opposition to cooperate “for the country, its future and its youth.”LJP chief Chirag Paswan said Modi also spoke about empowering India’s youth and giving them the “correct guidance.” On student protests, Paswan said he respects students’ concerns and believes “dialogue is a good medium,” adding that the government has kept its doors open for discussions. BJP MP Ravi Kishan demanded the “harshest punishment” for those arrested in the NEET paper leak case, while BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi said the PM asked MPs to stay connected with people, spread positivity and draw inspiration from India’s young innovators. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari urged the Opposition to allow Parliament to function and debate every issue in the House.
