Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday morning conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations in Kolkata and adjoining Hooghly district, including the residence of Trinamool's Serampore MLA Sudipta Roy, former chairman of the Patient Welfare Committee at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

ED conducted raids at Roy's residence in North Kolkata, a dealer's house in Ballygunge Circular Road and a bungalow in Dandpur village in Hooghly district, believed to be belonging to Roy, people in the know said. The MLA has been under scrutiny following allegations of financial irregularities at the RG Kar Hospital. Roy has denied all allegations made against him.
