Bengal Teacher recruitment scam: ED summons Abhishek Banerjee once again on October 3
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Trinamool national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on October 3 in connection with the recruitment scam, the very same day the Trinamool Congress has planned a protest programme in New Delhi. Banerjee was scheduled to lead the two-day agitation in Delhi on October 2-3 against the non-disbursal of funds for MGNREGA and other central schemes by the Centre.

The Trinamool Congress had planned to take people who have not received their dues for the 100-day work scheme from the state to Delhi by a special train. They planned to stage a dharna in front of Union minister Giriraj Singh's House. The programme was scheduled to start on October 2 with a visit by Trinamool leaders, MPs and ministers to Rajghat along with the people.
