ED searches premises of people linked to AAP's Sanjay Singh

The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday carried out fresh searches, including at the premises of some people associated with AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh here, in connection with its ongoing money laundering probe into the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy case.

According to people in the know, nearly half a dozen entities were searched by the agency under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

Singh in a Twitter video message said two of his associates, "Ajit Tyagi and Sarvesh Mishra, are being raided by the federal agency".


Singh had recently written to the Union finance secretary seeking sanction to prosecute the ED director, an assistant director and an investigating officer. He alleged the ED sleuth made "false and derogatory claims" against him in connection with the probe. CBI last month filed a supplementary charge sheet and named former deputy CM Manish Sisodia as an accused.
