Lucknow: The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday raided premises linked to the Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust and University of Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan as part of a money laundering investigation, officials said.

They said about 10 premises at Rampur and Saharanpur in the state and in Delhi were being searched as part of a case registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The Lucknow-headquartered Trust has Khan, former Cabinet minister of the state, as its main trustee along with some family members and associates.

It runs the Muhammad Ali Jauhar University and a public school in the Rampur district.
