ED on Friday questioned Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar and his brother DK Suresh in connection with its probe in the National Herald case. They were questioned for nearly four hours. While leaving the ED office, Shivakumar said: "The questioning for today is over. I have agreed to submit the documents that have been sought."

The duo was questioned about donation of an unspecified amount of money to Young Indian, the company that owns National Herald, said people in the know. Suresh has also been asked to furnish details of payment made from one of their trusts to Young Indian as recently as April this year, said the people quoted above.

CBI had last month carried out an inspection of properties owned by Shivakumar in Ramanagara district of Karnataka. The CBI had registered an FIR in October 2020 against Shivakumar.
