ED moves HC challenging Lokayukta clean chit to Siddaramaiah, others in Mysuru plot allotment case
The Enforcement Directorate has challenged a court's decision to close a corruption case involving alleged illegal plot allotments in Mysuru, linked to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his wife. This follows a similar plea from an activist. The Lok...

The development comes on the back of the court already issuing notices on a similar plea from activist Snehamayi Krishna.
The court had, in March last week, ordered notices to the Lokayukta police, the ED, and the CM, among others, on a petition challenging the closure of the case related to alleged unlawful allotment of plots in Mysuru linked to Siddaramaiah, his wife, and two others.
The petitions from the activist and the ED have contested a Bengaluru special court’s decision to accept a closure report submitted by the Lokayukta Police in January this year. The special court’s order provided relief to Siddaramaiah and the other accused in a case that drew widespread attention in 2024.
The special court, designated to hear cases involving elected representatives, had accepted the ‘B report’ filed by the Lokayukta Police, citing lack of evidence to substantiate the allegations.
The Lokayukta Police in Mysuru had registered an FIR in September 2024 against Siddaramaiah, naming him as the first accused, along with his wife Parvathy and brother-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy, in connection with the allotment of 14 housing plots to his wife by Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
