ED conducts searches at 21 locations in Karnataka KPSC job scam case

The agency's Bengaluru zonal office is carrying out search and seizure operations under Section 17 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), covering 21 premises across Karnataka and Ahmedabad, they said.
The searches include the KPSC office, the residence of suspended KPSC Chairman Shivashankarappa S Sahukar, and the premises of KPSC member Shanta Hosmani. The agency is also searching locations linked to alleged middlemen and Edutest Solutions Pvt Ltd, the entity responsible for the digital evaluation of examination papers, officials said.
Premises linked to candidates selected for the post of Veterinary Officers are also being searched as part of the operation.
The searches are being conducted across Bengaluru, Hassan, Chitradurga, Davangere, Raichur, Karwar, Kalaburgi and Belagavi in Karnataka, besides a location in Ahmedabad, officials said.
The ED's action is part of its investigation into alleged irregularities in the KPSC recruitment process.
