ED on Friday raided the houses of three Trinamool Congress leaders - minister of state Sujit Bose, MLA Tapas Ray and former North Dumdum Municipality chairman Subodh Chakraborty - in connection with alleged irregularities over recruitments to municipalities.

Meanwhile, the West Bengal Police has arrested two people in connection with the attack on ED officials at Sandeshkhali. The first arrests in the case take place a week after the attack on the officials who were on way to the residence of Shahjahan Sheikh, a Trinamool leader and an accused in the alleged ration diversion scam. Sheikh is still at large.

Three separate ED teams, accompanied by CRPF personnel, raided properties linked to the three Trinamool leaders. "If any corruption against me is found, I will send my resignation to (CM) Mamata Banerjee," Bose said after ED officials left his house. Roy said he didn't know the reason for the raid. Minister Shashi Panja termed the raids as BJP's "political vendetta".
