ED attaches Rs 127.33 crore worth of shares in hospitals linked to ex-TMC MP's son

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached shares worth ₹127.33 crore in Alchemist Hospital and Ojas Hospital, Panchkula, linked to Karan Deep Singh, son of ex-Trinamool MP Kanwar Deep Singh.

New Delhi: The ED has provisionally attached shares worth ₹127.33 crore in two immovable properties, namely Alchemist Hospital and Ojas Hospital, located in Panchkula, beneficially owned by Karan Deep Singh, son of former Trinamool MP Kanwar Deep Singh.

The provisional attachment has been made under relevant provisions of the PMLA, 2002.

The attachment forms part of an ongoing money laundering investigation involving M/s Alchemist Group, its directors, promoters, and associated entities, in relation to large-scale fraud and misappropriation of public funds, ED said on Wednesday.


ED launched its investigation into the alleged ₹1,848-crore scandal based on an FIR initially registered by Kolkata Police and later by the CBI, ACB Lucknow.

The FIR made cheating and criminal conspiracy charges against Alchemist Township India, Alchemist Holdings, and promoters and directors of Alchemist Group, including Kanwar Deep Singh.
