ECI has decided to give ASDD electors one more chance to get names on final voter list
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has given electors whose names were excluded from the draft electoral rolls during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) one more opportunity to get included in the final voter list.

The decision covers electors marked as Absent, Shifted, Dead or Duplicate (ASDD) whose Enumeration Forms were not received during the exercise.

In a letter dated November 6, the Commission directed officials in Delhi and six states to display booth-wise lists of such electors afresh at polling stations and local body offices, besides uploading them on the CEOs' websites.

The electors can submit their filled Enumeration Forms along with a statement explaining why they could not file them earlier. Forms can be submitted physically or online through the ECINET platform. They can also download or fill the forms using their existing EPIC numbers.

Those who have shifted residence within the same state will not be required to submit Form 8. They can submit their Enumeration Forms with details of their new address, Assembly Constituency and address proof to the electoral officer concerned.

The ECI has directed Booth Level Officers to contact such electors through house visits, family members and other available contact details. For homeless persons without address documents, the BLO's field verification report will be accepted as proof of residence.

Electors who have already submitted Form 6 for fresh enrolment during the SIR need not submit the Enumeration Form again.

The Commission has asked officials to publicise the measures widely and ensure that eligible electors get an opportunity to be included in the final electoral roll.
